For Turkey Of Our Dreams...

Primarily calling attention to our need for morale, tolerance and confidence before everything else as nowadays our country goes through a significant and historic process, I respectfully greet all our readers on behalf of TÜGİAD. The members of TÜGİAD, a community generating %10 of our country’s exports and %5 of its GDP, have an average age of 37, and the average age of their children is 6. We are conscious of our country’s potential both in tangible and intangible assets and in underground and aboveground resources; and that is why we have confidence in ourselves, in you, and in our country. Besides, our country is a factor for stability in its region and an indispensable bridge for the dialog between civilisations. Conscious of all these factors, we believe that our country has a determining mission for the sake of lasting stability and sustainable development in the world, as well as welfare and well being of humanity. The undertaking and the performing of this mission assigns important functions to us all, as well. Of course, we are also aware of the challenges. We know that we are under a truly heavy load of debts. However, we do not intend to pass these debts on to our children; for we feel the implications of that in our hearts. Even though it might not be us to live Turkey of our dreams, we want to make it possible for our children to do so. We also know very well that we have to proceed with a global vision, yet without losing our national values to achieve this goal; for we are perfectly aware of the fact that any rise which is not based on local and national values cannot possibly remain stable but prove to be frail and subject to conjunctures. At this point we would like to share with you that we work hard for the same goals also within the Young Entrepreneurs Society where we have recently been elected Chairman. Our vision is not limited to the geographic area stretching from the Adriatic to the Great Wall of China but to the entire scope between the two poles. One of our important goals is to make it true that in every single plane to take off there will be at least one young entrepreneur from Turkey, who believes in these ideas and who is equipped with contemporary knowledge and technology. In order to live Turkey of our dreams and make it live, we believe that we must succeed in realising our global vision and attaining these goals. Parting in these thoughts and feelings I would like to once again present my sincere greetings to all of you.
