THE HARD WALK FOR TWENTY YEARS AND THE TEMPO OF THE 10TH PERIOD |
The Board of Directors of TÜGİAD of the 10th period have began to work with the consciousness of the last twenty years, under the light of the experiences gained in this period, to leave a better future to its children and with enthusiasm. As our Board has started to work, it has decided to design the subjects in two main dimensions and to maintain them simultaneously. Thus the works of TÜGİAD had to include both local and global characteristics. So, both local and global dimensions have been considered at each movement, each work and each step. Likewise, if we evaluate in those days as only 3 months are left for our Board of Directors of the 10th period to finish their working period the result will ensure that we worked parallel to our decisions and thus we are pleased. Because as TÜGİAD we reached almost each European country from Edirne to Urfa to Diyarbakır, Japan to China and Russia; in conclusion we have been and worked in more than 40 locations within the country and abroad.
Because of these works TÜGİAD made important steps to become a guide to our young entrepreneurs as the face of Turkey looking to the world; on the other hand a correct and reliable information and communication source for the economic social research coming to Turkey from abroad. In this working period we are continuing for 18 months as TÜGİAD Board of Directors we met with the second generation Young Turk Entrepreneurs, who are as successful, excited as the young entrepreneurs in Turkey and gained a serious economic power and created a young dynamo in Europe in several cities of Europe, and we once again saw that we are on the right way.
This vision of TÜGİAD and this tempo of working have showed their effect and results at YES in Brussels presided by TÜGİAD. As a result of the co-operations, some of which have been started and some have strengthened, with the superior foundations established by the young businessmen of Europe, we have worked and discussed and still continuing our efforts on the joint projects about the future of Europe and the world with powerful foundations of Brussels like the Young Farmers, Young Unionists of Europe. Besides these works indexed to the horizontal expansion, we cared about this mission thus we believe that globally all entrepreneurs around the world should be communicating. To that end, with a vertical integration according to an agenda on the one hand at the visits made to the far east we officially met with important representatives of the business world. On the other hand as a result of the close communications with the South American Young Businessmen Confederation that has more than 45.000 members in South America and representing more than 20 countries, we have signed joint working protocols for 2006 and 2007.
Nowadays we are planning to get together with the young entrepreneurs in America in 2006 and at the same during our presidency serious expansions and a turning point is being experienced in YES. All of these works and steps have reached another level after having been selected the 2006 World Young Leader by the World Economic Forum. We have started saying that ‘We don’t want to leave our problems to our children’. We said, ‘We also have to contribute so that Turkey can take part in the reshaping global centered world without underestimating its local values. The members of TÜGİAD should do everything they can for the future of their country also on behalf of their children. Thus, the perspective of our vision exceeded the borders of ‘from the Adriatic to the Great Wall of China’ and we said ‘Our vision is from one pole to the other through the whole global geography’; and we stated our target as ‘in each plane taking off anywhere on the world there must be at least one of our young entrepreneurs who is believing in his country and values’. Because we are aware of the physical-spiritual and under-above the ground resources of Turkey and we trust in our country. With this conscious we think that our country has a mission related to the permanent stabilization in the world and the sustainable development. As we thought that the load of the responsibilities we are undertaking can only be carried by genuine shoulders we approached jointly to solve our problems and also to be assertive. We have put Turkey in the center of our dreams, main target and vision, stated that we have to believe in ourselves and our people and thus first of all we have informed you about the theme ‘Turkey has to change its memorization’.
So, TÜGİAD once again showed that it is always a consistent civil society organization and confirming the reality. Hereby, we once again stress our view that to maintain the EU Discussion Period, which seems like to be out of agenda, by an information center is a pre-requisite for Europe as it is for Turkey; I want to mention that we have to work a lot at each level for the beautiful and respectful future of our country. Because now it is time to do something rather than talking.
Now it is time to ‘agree’, ‘be assertive’; ‘support this assertion with the vision’ and to ‘do’ this. I am truly greeting you with confidence and firm intention on behalf of the young businessmen I am representing.
